What PayPal requires from an LLC
- EIN / Tax Identification Number. An IRS letter assigning your EIN, or any government-issued document displaying the full business name and 9-digit EIN/TIN, dated within the last 12 months.
- Business name consistency. The business name on all submitted documents must exactly match the full legal name on your PayPal account.
- Proof of business existence. Certificate of Good Standing, government-issued business license or permit, or Secretary of State entity filing, all dated within the last 12 months.
- Owner identity document. A government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) matching the registered owner's name, with visible issue and expiration dates.
- Business address proof. Current utility bill, insurance statement, government business license, or bank statement displaying the full business name. Physical addresses only. PO Boxes are not accepted.
